Star Trek TOS: Gary Seven Servo Pen. Copy of the Set-Used Prop as. (as far as my research reveals).. When first FAN re-issued by.
Paramount (known as the Desilu Version). Nominal 5-7/8" length and a diameter of about 7/16".
And the diamond knurl rings were. This allowed the addition of a "writing tip" to make the pen useful.
It also made for ease of manufacture. This was early attempt was Screen Accurate for the most part but makes identification of this reproduction easy.. Prop were later run by other prop houses. However they copied the dimensional inaccuracies that were initially made by Paramount so the prop could be a pen too. Again, while these Props were more-or-less.They were by no means. As they were not in scale, i. E not at 1:1 in size and, again the knurls were raised too high and were too coarse. The diamond knurl rings are about flush on the barrel and are a fine diamond style, as they were On-Set (refer to the screen captures in this listing). It is thought that the Gary Seven pen aesthetic was inspired by the Fisher Space Pen AG7 (anti gravity space pen 1967). The same average-price as a new car in 1967. The Gary Seven Servo Pen also featured the same Round Button detail, near the pen head, as the Fisher AG7. The AG7 Round Button may have inspired the locations and size of the Gary Seven pen pop-out antenna. ABOUT THE PROP, ID CARD AND, CASE. THE POCKET CLIP IS FUNCTIONAL! This was a pilot episode of a new series produced by Gene Roddenberry about a time traveler named "Gary Seven". And the idea was introduced by having the stars of this potential series appear on a Star Trek episode. Appears without credit as this main character (why he wasn't listed in the credits is odd considering he was obviously the star). I liked Lansing's cold and somewhat rigid style--I really thought it worked for his character, but I also realize this might have also left some feeling rather cold about him. He wasn t exactly'Mr. Instead, the major emoting was done by his. Ditsy assistant played by Teri Garr.
It seems the spin off series was to have been about a man who traveled from a far more advanced world to secretly help mankind. Seven accidentally lands on the Enterprise, they are shocked to see him and think he's up to no good. You see, the Enterprise actually meant to go back to the 20th century to do some unobserved data collection for historical reasons and there is no conceivable reason why they should intercept a space traveler all the way back then. How all this is resolved is something you'll have to WATCH for yourself. The item "Star Trek TOS, Accurate, Gary Seven Servo Pen Prop, Red Carry Case" is in sale since Saturday, January 18, 2020.
